Contribution to the community

The KU Leuven Association also  seeks to contribute to the wider community. It stimulates research and innovation as well as the transfer of knowledge to serve regional development. Close interaction with industry puts KU Leuven Association members in a unique position to keep abreast of professional and societal developments and to respond to them swiftly. Lifelong learning forms an integral part of this process.

Contributing to the community is a priority for all partners of the KU Leuven Association, which is clearly reflected in their policies. As they want to ensure equal access to education and research for all members of society, a Diversity Plan providing in these equal opportunities was put in place. The KU Leuven Association also plays a vital role in the promotion of socially responsible entrepreneurship. It aims to integrate and implement both concepts in education and in the day-to-day working of its partner institutions. In this way, the Association contributes to the welfare of society and the protection of the environment.
