Education

The KU Leuven Association offers its members unique opportunities to collaborate and build a coherent and qualitative education network. On the basis of their own expertise, all members put in maximum effort to further develop curricula, increase flexibility, offer study support and student guidance, promote diversity and international cooperation, develop innovative working methods, conduct research on education, support continuing education and improve the standards and quality of teaching. The Association members are also committed to ensuring the smooth transfer and the mobility of students between the different degree programmes.  Agreements on the accreditation of prior certificated and experiential learning, enable students to construct their own flexible learning pathways.

All KU Leuven Association partners invest in the Education Development Fund, which funds innovative educational projects and the cross-institutional exchange of expertise. The Association also contributes to the optimization of higher education in Flanders by harmonizing study programmes offered at different institutions and by cooperating in regional clusters. Teacher training programmes have joined forces in an Association-wide School of Education.
