GRC-EU& Toonweekend 2012
Programma
Tom Tondeur is a Master in Architectural sciences. He finished his Archirecture studies with a thesis on the implementation of networks in designproceses (Forges, Connected). This resulted in a publication in Faro, tijdschrift over cultureel erfgoed; jg 4, 2011 (Collectief geheugen, Connected). Subsequently he commenced a master of Conservation of Monuments and Sites. Currently he is finalising a thesis on the implementation of networks in heritage contexts. He is a member of the research group ‘Analogous Spaces’ at Sint-Lucas, Gent-Brussel, funded by OPAK.
Thierry Lagrange is an engineer architect. He runs the office ALT. He is lecturer at Sint Lucas, School of Architecture (Brussels). As a member of Ubicumque he is co-editor of a series of art-publications, such as Images/images, Tekst/tekst and Cahier. He is active as a photographer. Both, architecture and photography are central elements in the ongoing Ph.D. project at Sint Lucas & Catholic University of Leuven (IvOK).
Liselotte Vroman graduated Master’s degree in July 2010 at Sint Lucas, School of Architecture (Brussels). During her second Master she followed the experimental design-lab ‘ Calibrating’, wherein she started the research ‘Architecture through motion’, her Master dissertation. Now she follows her internship as an architect at Poponcini & Lootens ir. Architects in Antwerp and continues her research project at Sint-Lucas.
Recently a research-group, called Analogous Spaces, has been launched at the Department of Architectural Sciences, Sint-Lucas, Gent-Brussels. F A K is providing supporting funds through OPAK. Currently three researches; Thierry Lagrange, Tom Tondeur and Liselotte Vroman are engaged in this group. Respectively they are investigating an analogous space: Matrices, Networks and Movement. So each analogous space is a track providing knowledge for the superposed catch-all term Analogous Spaces.
