Medical English
 

This programme intends:

• to bring an attractive offer for the international (exchange) students in nursing/midwifery as well as for our regular students,

• to involve lectures as well as students in the dynamic process of internationalization,

• to reinforce the "internationalization at home".

This programme especially deepens the educational part. In that way it is linked to other parts of the educational programme in Professional Bachelor of Nursing and Midwifery. The programme intends:

• To improve communication skills in English (written and oral)
• To prepare students for an internship abroad
• To enter into a professional nursing/midwifery relationship with the patient and the interdisciplinary team.
• To deliver nursing/midwifery care from an evidence based perspective
  • To get confident with English terminology
  • To make English literature more accessible
• To be open to diversity in the community
• To be open to economic, ethical and social policy in healthcare in Belgium and other countries
